Abstract
The esterification of acetic acid and butanol catalyzed by p - toluenesulfonic acid supported on activated and the appropriate reaction conditions under microwave irradiation were studied, The experiment results showed that the catalyst had high catalytic activity and selectivity. After 25 minutes' reaction, the fractional conversion of acetic acid was 98.1% .
