Abstract
As the difference was little in physiological characters between individuals of newly-hatching cotton boll worm used as test insect, the assays were accuracy. The correlation coefficient between sample concentration and insect death was more than 0.9 and the test period was only two days when the insect infected were cultured at 36℃ for 48hr . The reproducibility was good when 48 larvae were used in the bioassay. The procedure and method of the assay bulled have been used for testing the potency of Bt products for 100 batchs and proved that test results were stable and reliable.
