Abstract

China should learn from success stories about policies concerning increasing the income of low-income earners in the US. In addition, based on realities, China should improve medical assistance regime, social benefits service system and relevant economic policies. Government agencies should assume their duties, innovate services, strengthen oversight on social affairs, and build a sound feedback mechanism. Governments should help people find jobs through legislation and taxation which are fundamental to increase people's ability of work and competitiveness. That is how we improve the living conditions of the low-income groups to some extent and encourage them to work harder for the social and economic development.
