Abstract

Objective In order to increase one-off cure rate of the high perianal abscess. Methods To review the 72 cases of high perianal abscess in three years. 49 cases were received seton and incision drainage therapy. While 23 cases were received incision drainage. Results The cure rate was 88% (43/49) in incision drainage and seton therapy, and 17% (4/23) in incision drainage. There was statistical significance in the two groups. Conclusion The incision drainage and seton therapy was an ideal operation method in treating high perianal abscess. Accurate locating and treating the internal openings was the key to successful operation.
