Abstract

The seeds of Soutellaria baicalensis was exposed to the artificial accelerated aging under 40℃ and 100% relative humidity for 1~5 days. Significant viability and vigor changes were found in the seeds with the extension of accelerated aging time. After 5 days, vigor was determined, the germination percentage declined to 0. In the process of the accelerated aging, electroconductivity appeared to be the paralleled relation with aging degree increases, and the activities of SOD and POD decreased regularly, the content of MDA increased.
