Abstract

The paper reported the new technology of synthesizing betaine.The betaine was synthesized by two steps,which were the neutralization reaction of Ca(OH) 2 and ClCH 2COOH,amination reaction of(CH 3) 3N and (ClCH 2COO) 2Ca,then the betaine was obtained by separation and purification.The content of the betaine reached (98±1)%.
