Abstract
Advanced oxidation processes(AOPs) using photo-Fenton treatment was investigated at laboratory scale for the degradation of aqueous solutions of nitrobenzene. The effects of reactants concentration, temperature and pH on nitrobenzene degradation were measured.Photo-Fenton treatment can successfully degrade the nitrobenzene in the aqueous solution. At pH be equal to3,and with initial concentrations of 200 mg/L for H2O2 and 30 mg/L for Fe(II),the photo-Fenton treatment degraded the nitrobenzene of 50%(initial NB concentration of 200mgL) in only 30 min.
