Abstract
In order to solve the problem of poor desulfurization of LF refining slag at Shandong Laiwu Steel Plant,laboratory experiments were carried out in combination with the mechanism of refining slag desulfurization.The refining slag performance and w(S) in the steel were analyzed with 10 kinds of refining slag formula.The study showed that when the compositions of refining slag were at the following range: w(CaO) 45%-50%,w(SiO2) 18%-20%,w(Al2O3) 17%-21%,w(MgO)9%-13%,the desulfurization of the slag was satisfactory to meet the requirements of GCr15 smelting.Thanks to good results obtained in trial production,practical basis for deep desulfurization of LF refining slag has been provided.
