Abstract

An experiment was carried out in a solar energy greenhouse to study the effects of irrigation norms and water stress at different growth stages on the yield of tomato. A comparative study of the desirable irrigation norms for drip irrigation and for furrow irrigation showed that drip irrigation was markedly superior to furrow irrigation for saving on water. An optimum drip irrigation regime was selected and recommended for tomato production.
