Abstract

This paper first gave the protocol structure of internet telephony over SIP(Session Initiation Protocol), then discussed the RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) and RTCP (Real-time Transport Control Protocol), and the entities consisting of SIP. namingaddressing and the main operation were also described and discussed in details in this paper.
