Abstract
In order to improve the flexibility and spinnability of the sisal fibre,Brazilian sisal and domestic sisal were modified by using chlorine bleaching processing and lye boiling treatment,the linear density and tensile properties of the sisal fibre were detected after treatment.The results show that the effect of lye boiling treatment is good and the different sisal fibre need the different lye concentration in this processing.It has also been found that the lye concentration used on domestic sisal is more than Brazilian sisal,on which the lye concentration gradually reduced in half.
