Abstract

Based on the effective Hamiltonian method, the formula of calculating the second-order approximation for the Stark effect in hydrogen atom has been derived.By virtue of Mathematica language,a program is developed to calculate the second-order Stark effect in hydrogen atom, and then the second-order Stark effect in hydrogen atom(n=2,3,4),which include both splitting energy level and corresponding pictures, are given.
