Abstract

Foods are easily polluted by many kinds of contaminants. Most of toxic tests are based on given exposure time and one pollutant at controllable environment. Different pollutants will affect each other in a mixture, and exert a joint effect on luminescent bacteria. The joint effects of substance in a mixture can be categorized as antagonism, synergism and only addictive. Joint toxicity effects of heavy metals on luminescent bacteria Vibrio qinghaiensis sp.nov-Q67 was investigated in this paper. The toxicity of Cad-mium,Chromium and Plumbum were tested by freshwater luminescent bacteria Vibrio qinghaiensis sp.nov-Q67. The EC50 of binary mixtures was evaluated. Combined effects of the metals were found to be antagonistic for Cd-Cr,Cd-Pb,synergistic for Pb-Cd.
