Abstract
Socrates' idea of virtue is based on self-reflection of the subject. He suggested that virtue as such is due to the inherent and universal principle and the foundation of rationality, consequently,Socrates supposed the method for the virtue to us.Although Socrates aroused the inherence of people through the idea of virtue,we point out that the pure rationality is not the whole of the virtue.Because of the whole life of people and the structure of the soul,we address the virtue with more prudential attitude.
