Abstract
The influence of MgO on sintering and property of belite-barium calcium sulphoaluminate cement was studied.The research results show that C_3S is formed easily by mixing MgO at low temperature.SO_3 is beneficial to dissolution of MgO in belite-barium calcium sulphoaluminate cement clinker.Belite-barium calcium sulphoaluminate cement clinker has a high capacity to dissolve MgO.When MgO content is 5.14%(by mass),belite-barium calcium sulphoaluminate cement still has a good soundness,compressive strengths are 49.1 MPa and 81.9 MPa at 3 d and 28 d curing age respectively,which indicates that the cement has good mechanical properties.Low-quality high-magnesium limestone can be used as source of MgO.
