Abstract

p:Purpose: To analyze the impact of Xiujiang River water quality pollution's variation trend on Yichun urban population growth through Xiujiang River water quality monitoring data analysis over the years. Methods: Water quality monitoring data in three sections of Xiujiang River in winter are offered by Environmental Monitoring Station of Yichun city.Testing method and evaluation standard will refer to GB3838-2002 Environmental Quality Standard for surface water. Results: All pollution indicator shows downstream water quality is poorer;seven years' analysis on variation tendency of water quality indicates water quality is worse, but at a low change speed;the water quality fluctuated in 2008 and detailed reasons are to be identified. Conclusion: Xiujiang river water quality has deteriorated gradually from 2005 to 2011.Based on population growth planning in downtown of Yichun city, rapid growth of urban residents need to control water quality to avoid adverse effect of water pollution on urban future development.
