Abstract
Urban forest landscape patterns in Shenyang were analyzed by using true color aerial photos and ARC/GIS.The results showed that: landscape patch's average area of urban forest types was in the following order: Landscape and Relaxation Forest(L) 1.85hm2,Production and Management Forest(P) 1.34hm2,Ecological Public Welfare Forest(E),Subordinated Forest(S) and Road Forest(R).Small patches presented main body of all types and its percentage surpassed 90%.The percentage of above large patch types was only 1% approximately.Diversity index and patch density index had the same trends: SREPL.All urban forest types were approximately disturbed and different slightly in fringes but significantly in shape characters: LEPRS.In order to make full use of urban forest landscape effects,it was necessary to fully develop and improve urban forest types respectively.
