Abstract
Effects of lanthanum on sugar metabolism during germination of soybean(Glycine max) seeds to simulate acid rain(pH 2.0,pH 2.5,pH 3.0,pH 3.5,pH 4.5,pH 5.0) were investigated. The results showed that the contents of soluble sugar, reducing sugar, sucrose, starch content and α-amylase,amylase activity in seeds increased with decreased stress level. The above indexes with stress level of acid rain of pH 3.5~5.0 are slightly higher than control;at stress level of pH 2.5~3.0 of acid rain, they are lower than that of control, but the difference was not significant.La(Ⅲ) soaking can ease the acid rain on seed germination caused by injury and enhance the ability of the seeds of anti-acid rain.
