Abstract
The Book of Songs touches upon the relationship between composition and emotion.Afterwards,there was the view that emotion is motivated from within and embodied in speech in Han Dynasty;Liu Xie in Liang Dynasty,in his The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons,proposed that emotion is the longitude of literature and composition the expression of emotion;the most famous view was that literature stems from emotion,proposed by Liu Mian in Tang Dynasty.All these views reveal the relationship between emotion and writing to different degree,stressing the significance of emotion to writing.We write so that others can read,thus associating emotion in writing with our readers.Our predecessors sum up this relationship as emotion stems from writing,but it is easier said than done and requires writing skills.If we can pay attention to the fact that literary emotion is valuable in its uniqueness and grasp certain skills in expressing emotion,with sincere emotion it is impossible not to have a good piece of writing.
