Evolvement of the Street Pattern of Xi'an Ancient Urban Area

Xi'an ancient streets and historic building have suffered severe damage.From the perspective of historical development and on the basis of the four Main streets,the paper analyzes the functions,nature and the patterns of the ancient streets in the ancient urban area.The study of the morphological evolution of the ancient city helps the gorenment understand the urban context,protect the structure of the ancient city area and make a plan for the network of main roads,providing guidance for the urban construction in the future.
