Abstract
[Objective] To discuss the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine in curing diabetic peripheral neuropathy. [Methods]Searching on document literatures in CNKI, published from 2002 to 2013 on the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with traditional Chinese medicine was performed. The scale evaluation was performed with the revised Jadad scale and all the effective data were collected for analyzing. [Results] From the Meta analysis of 11 pieces of document literature, we could conclude that traditional Chinese medicine had some advantages in general curative effect for improving the motor and sensory conduction velocity of peripheral nerve compared with that of Western medicine in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. [Conclusion] The treatment of traditional Chinese medicine in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy has some certain advantages.
