The repair of nasal septal perforation with a reversed pedicle nasal mucoperiosteal flap and nasal septal advance flap

Objective To explore a better surgical procedure for repair of the large nasal septal perforation.Methods Three patients with large nasal septal perforation were treated under nasal endoscope and operating microscope.A reversed pedicle nasal mucoperiosteal flap and nasal septal advance flap were utilized to repair the large perforation.The reconstructed septum was protected by nasal cavity packing with moist nasal dressing.Results After follow-up for one to two years,the successful reconstruction was achieved in 3 cases.Conclusion This procedure is effective and worthy to be popularized.
