CALCULATION METHOD OF NEUTRAL POINT OF PUMPING ROD

Abstract

The calculation of pumping rod neutral point is very important in the design of pumping rod.Through considering all kinds of resistances acted on pumping rod during the down stroke,calculating the buoyancy of pumping rod in drilling fluid by using new calculation method and the maximum of inertial load of pumping rod and friction between rod and fluid,a new calculation model of neutral point was obtained.Combined with actual measurement data in down hole,the model was amended,and the formula of calculating correction factor of pumping rod neutral point was got.
