Abstract
Based on the data from the unemployment registration database of Xia-men,Fujian province,this paper explores the effect of unemployment Insurance on the unemployment duration by adopting Cox proportional hazard regression model.It is found that sex,salaries before unemployment,duration of insurance payment and standard of unemployment insurance payments all affect the unemployment duration.
