A STUDY ON FORESTRY ECOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION AND CONSTRUCTION DURING WESTERN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM,CHINA

Ecological environment protection and construction is a significant project that must be implemented during China`s western development program.And it`s also the fundamental and significant part in developing and flourishing western area economy.This article analyzed the ecological environment problems which had seriously restricted the westem region`s economy and society development,as well as the role and function of forestry in ecological environment construction.Some key measures of accelerating forestry ecological environment protection and construction in westem area were put forward as follows:overall arrangement and programming of forestry ecological environment construction,Tending and managing of existing forest,restoring farmland into forest and grass land,construction of forestry ecological project,inputting of science and technology and fund.
