Abstract
The authors studied the treatment of old landfill leachate using evaporation method. The research of variation regularity on pH value, organic compounds and ammonia-nitrogen contents of landfill leachate in evaporation under different temperatures and wind conditions has been done through timed and batch sampling to evaporated landfill leachate. The results showed that the pH value in concentrated solution changed very little. The amount of total organic pollutants was increasing at different evaporation conditions, while the change was indistinctively. The removal rate of ammonia-nitrogen was 37% when the evaporation temperature was 25℃ and the wind speed as 1.5 m/s.
