Abstract
English belongs to the Indo-European language while Chinese is the Sino-Tibetan language and both of them have their own phonetic system,so the rhetorical features of English alliteration assonance differ from those of Chinese alliteration assonance.The exploration on the translation of these two different types of phonetic stylistic devices may help English learners to achieve their effective intercultural communication.
