Abstract

LINGHU clan was one of big celebrated family at Dunhuang and famous for their deep foundation knowledge of Confucian when they migrated to Dunhuang in the Han dynasty.When the Northern Liang eliminating the West Liang Dynasty,LINGHU clan began to join in activities of copying Buddhist Scripture and contacted Buddhism and began their transition from the traditional Confucianism family to a new type of family that grasping both Confucianism and Buddhism.During the long period of Northern Dynasties,LINGHU clan played a leading role in official activities in copying Buddhist Scripture and became an early family who belief in Buddhism.A study of LINGHU clan could reveal the famous big family along Hexi Corridor contact with Buddhism during the Han Dynasty to the Jin Dynasty until the Northern Dynasties.
