An Analysis of Jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court

The International Criminal Court(ICC) may exercise its complementary jurisdiction,in certain circumstances it has jurisdiction over a non-party state;the preconditions of the exercise of the ICC jurisdiction is states'consent.That is to say,the territory state the crime has been committed or the nationality state of the accused is a state party to the Rome Statute or a state which has accepted the ICC jurisdiction;the ICC jurisdiction is subject to its sphere of validaty;the ICC jurisdiction may be triggered by a state party,the UN Security Council or the ICC Prosecutor.The exercise of the ICC jurisdiction is not a violation of states'sovereignty.
