Plastic Hinge Modification of SAP2000 in Nonlinear Static Analysis

Abstract

This paper introduces the criterion background of SAP2000 in the Pushover analysis.The plastic hinge should be modified when the Pushover analysis is made by SAP2000 according to the Code for Seismic Design of Building.The modification is suggested.A concentrically braced steel frame is analyzed in Pushover with examples,and the results are compared,showing that the modification of plastic hinge is necessary.
