Abstract
Applying geographical information system(GIS) and the technology of database to the metal mine safety production,this paper designed and developed the metal mine safety information system based on GIS.This paper emphasized on the overall design,database design and the realizing of core functions of the system.This system can be used for map management,information inquiry,and other basic operations;also can be applied for metal mine safety assessment,the mining accident warning and DEM analysis of the mining terrain,which provides scientific guidance for the safe production of the metal mines.
