Abstract
With GeoStudio finite element software, taking dynamic characteristics of materials of rock and soil at the slope and features of earthquake into consideration and using equivalent linear model,two-dimensional dynamic response of soil slope under dynamic earthquake load, such as the stress and deformation therein,is analyzed. The result shows that under action of seismic wave, the maximum horizontal and vertical dynamic displacements decrease with the increase of depth and the peaks arise at the slope top.The slope stability is assessed by use of average small safety factor and then compared to the result obtained by use of pseudo-static method, thus the reasonability of valuing range of horizontal pseudo-static factor is proved.
