Abstract
The sedimentation in the lower Weihe River and the shrinking characteristics of the channel are analyzed in this paper. The response relation between the bank-full discharge and the annual runoff and sediment load has been also discussed .To maintain the bank-full discharge of 2 500m3/s (as the value in post-flood season of 2003 at the Huaxian station) in the lower Weihe River, quantitative relationship of the bank-full discharge to the runoff and the combined coefficient of runoff-sediment is presented in the paper. The result may provide a reference for the integrated management to the Weihe River basin.
