Abstract
Objective To study the re-bleeding rate of modified sugiura and Hassab in the treatment of poratal hypertension. Methods The patients with portal hypertension admitted on our hospital from April 2006 to March 2010 were randomly divided into modified Sugiura group(n=37)and Hassab group(n=39).The re-bleeding rate, operation safety postoperative recovery were compared between two groups. Results There was 1 operative death in each group. There was no significant difference in operative time, postopearative recoveryand occurrence of cmomplicationd between the two groups(P0.05).All patients were followed up for an average of 26.5 months. The re-bleeding rate in the modified Sugiura group and Hassab group was 2.7% and 15.4% respecively with the difference being singnificant(P0.01).Conclusion Modified Sugiura is an effective, safe and feasible method for the treatment of poraal hypertension.
