Abstract

Objective To study the effect of hypertonic stimulation on the expression of phosphotyrosine in supraoptic nucleus of rat. Methods The adult SD rats were divided into a test group and a control group(n=5 each)to receive intraperitoneal injection of hypertonic saline and normal saline respectively. The rats were infused with 4% paraformaldehyde 2 h after the injection, and then, the brains were removed to prepare 30 μm frozen sections. The expression of phosphotyrosine,as well as that of c-Fos,in the supraoptic nucleus was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The expression of phosphotyrosine was higher in the hypertonic saline test group than in the control(P0.01).Conclusion Hypertonic stimulation enhances the expression of phosphotyrosine in supraoptic nucleus of rat.
