Airline Industry:Regulation or Deregulation

The dominating reasons for regulating the airline industry are the threat of monopoly and destructive competition.While there are other theories about regulation,which are inexistence scale economy,little of entry and exit barriers,contestable market.But some scholars oppugned the latter and argued against deregulation.At the same time,after deregulation,airline industry has been investigated and found performance amelioration in price,quality and efficiency.
