Abstract

Chongmiaobaoshenjianlao Pagoda(shortened as Jianlao Pagoda and also known as Wu Pagoda),the biggest and most complete pinnacle tower built in the Five Dynasties in Fujian Province,has been a symbol architecture of Fuzhou City.This study of the architectural characteristics and cultural connotations of Jianlao Pagoda is hoped to contribute not only to the reasonable conservation and exploitation of the pagoda,but also to the enhancement of the popularity and cultural background of Fuzhou city.
