The Reflection about Last 50 Years, Reclamation of Land Desertification in Shiyang River Basin: The Case of Minqin Country of Gansu Province

The reclamation of land desertification in Shiyang river basin mainly depends on governments and experts in the last 50 years. The inhabitants in this area only have to carry out it and have no power to make decisions. This paper which written by a inhabitant from this area is the reflection about the reclamation of land desertification, and give some advice on how to take some effective measures to pay attention to inhabitants’ interest; Transform the thoughts about reclamation of land desertification, form a economic motivated reclamation of land desertification; Change the government’s work system evaluation to divide the regional economy function; Encourage the NGO to participate the formulation of public policies, make the formulation of public policies consider the reclamation of land desertification for the future.
