Abstract
Guo Xiang′s Notes on ″ Zhuang Zi″ is the most significant works on the theory of Zhuang Zi in Chinese history, but it made many revisions of the theories of Zhuang Zi in many aspects : firstly , it explained Zhuang Zi's thought that “ doctrine ” is the origin of all things on earth according to the theory that “everything comes into existence all by itself; secondly , it explained Zhuang Zi's thought that “ one can only be free and unfettered if one depends on nothing and nobody else but oneself ” according to Guo Xiang's doctrine of “being free and unfettered ” ; thirdly ,it explained Zhuang Zi's thought that “it is not the fact that human can change nature ” according to Guo Xiang's theory that “human behavior can be suceessful with the strength of nature” ; forthly , it explained Zhuang Zi's thought about “being free and unfettered” and “no relation between inner world and nature” according to Guo Xiang's theory that “one can do his duty heart and soul and can also be open-minded at the same time ” . So it is not a piece of works which could reflect Zhuang Zi′s original theories.
