On the ideological contents and artistic style of the long poems written by Tvartofski

From the general and specific viewpoints,this paper looks back on the writing history of Tvartofski,who was a famous Russian writer of long poems in former Soviet Union.The paper also ex- plained his four masterpieces of long poems in simple terms.There is no doubt that it is of great signifi- cance to study Tvartofski and his works because the long poems,seen from today' s brand-new view- point,have still been radiating realism and romanticism and are worth our studying and imitating.
