Abstract
Based on the study about the present situation of earthquake disaster in China,in the light of requirements of three work systems of earthquake disaster prevention and reduction and the experiences on constructing systems engineering of earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction in capital Beijing and around,the authors put forward a new proposition on establishing systems engineering of earthquake disaster in China.In this paper,the systems engineering is devised and testified in detail.The research shows that the system covers all aspects of seismologic work and it is characterized by systematization,legalization and high-tech.It will play an active and promotive role in achieving the goal of earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction in China.
