Abstract
Cu(Ⅱ) complex [CuL(H 2 O) 2 ].[CuL(H 2 O) ] 3.4H 2 O.C 3 H 7 NO} n with ligand C 13 H 16 NO 4 SK was synthesized from the condensation of O-vanillin and L-methionine in the absolute alcohol.It was confirmed by elemental analysis,IR spectrometry,UV-Vis spectrometry and X-ray diffraction single crystal analysis.The crystal belongs to the triclinic crystal system,space group P 1 with cell parameters a = 5.202 7(5) ,b = 16.691 6(16) ,c = 20.237(2) ,α = 88.895(10) °,β = 84.127(1) °,γ = 83.577(10) °,V = 1737.2(3) 3,Z =1,F(000) = 848,S = 1.042,ρ calcd = 1.561 g.cm-3,μ = 1.411 mm-1,the final R 1 = 0.076 0 and wR 2 = 0.231 8 for 6 030 observed reflections(I 2σ(I)).The crystal structure of complex contains two molecules possessing the same chemical structure with similar geometry.In the independent unit 1,Cu(Ⅰ) is five-coordinated to form a distorted square pyramid geometry.On the other hand,in the independent unit 2,the Cu(Ⅱ) is five-coordinated and possess a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry too.The complex forms a one-dimensional chain polymer in the axis through carboxyl oxygen atoms in the Schiff base ligands.
