Abstract

The effect of quenching temperature, tempering temperature and tempering time on grain size, impact toughness and hardness of pre-hardening plastic-used die steel is researched. It is showed from the test that the best pre-hardening heat treatment parameters should be oil-quenching of 860℃×2h and tempering of 660℃×(0.5~5)h.
