Abstract
With the development of economy and society,cultivated land area and grain production in Xinjiang Autonomous Region have greatly varied.Because of the natural and human factors,the quantity and quality of the cultivated land are different in time and space,and advance in science and technology also has a different effect on grain production in every region,which results in difference of grain productivity in sixteen areas of Xinjiang Autonomous Region.Based on the agricultural statistics of cultivated area,grain yield from 1996 to 2004,this paper analyzes the difference of the quantity change of cultivated land area and grain productivity change,providing scientific foundation for protecting cultivated land and improving agricultural production,especially grain production in Xinjiang Autonomous Region.
