A Study on the Developing Tendency of Men's Gymnastics from the World Gymnastics Competitions in the Last Three Years

Abstract

Combining the situation of the world gymnastics competitions from 2000 to 2003 and the various characteristics of the men's code of points, the tendency of the development of world men's gymnastics is studied by means of literature review, video observation, mathematical statistics and comparison. Results show that the increased difficulty of striving for the place in world men's team competition and the enhancement of the technical developing requirements of every individual event to a certain extent make the trend of world men's gymnastics place particular stress on the prominent technical development of each individual event.
