Abstract

The main soil nutrient element status in peanut production area of Hubei province was determined by soil nutrient status systematic approach (ASI) and verified in field experiment. The results indicated that nitrogen was generally deficient in experiment site, phosphorus was deficient in partial area, and potassium and boron were deficient in large scale. Balanced fertilization could improve peanut yield significantly, but the sensitivity of peanut to fertilizer was discrepant in different production area. Soil test should be base of the rational fertilization in peanut production.
