Abstract
In order to obtain the relationship between rock burst and stress distribution, and provide a basis for taking rational precaution measures on rock bursts,a numerical simulation method is used to model the rock stress in a rock roadway. The results show that non-uniform thin-walled stress is the main reason of the frequent rock burst in driving roadway. When a hard-brittle rock body is disturbed, the stress concentration may exceed the strength limit of rock, and lead to rock burst because the stress concentration is close to the rock surface of the roadway. The results are of significance to the prevention of rock burst.
