A Study on the Businessmen Organizations and the Development of Rural Economy in Guangxi During China's Modern Times Before 1919

Since China's modern times before 1919 with the construction and perfection of businessmen organizations and their network system,their functions on pushing the development of urban economy became more and more obvious.From the historiographic point of view,this paper is to discuss the functions and achievements of the businessmen organizations mainly consisting of townsmen and businessmen associations in Guangxi since modern times,in order to reveal their roles and influence in the urban social and economic change process of Guangxi during the modern times.
