Mechanics analysis on the linear transmission of differential wheel based on synchronous cog belt

Abstract

Analysis has been carried out on the mechanics in a kind of new typed linear transmission of differential wheel based on synchronous cog belt. This mechanism is a set of differential linear transmission mechanism consists of two differential pulleys, different in size and co-axially fixed together, engaged to the cog belt between driving and driven wheels of the traditional synchronous belt mechanism. Owing to the diameters of big and small pulleys are different, while the driving pulley rotates the differential mechanism will not stay at its original place and will make linear movement along the direction of centerline. Mechanics in the transmission of this mechanism has been studied and the relationship between driving force and load was obtained. At the same time, the 1D linear driver, developed by applying these transmission relations, verified the basic relation of transmission.
