Abstract

Professor Liu Guo-guang believes that Western economic theory has not played a guiding role in economic reform in China.This view does not tally with historical facts.Western economic theory has had a profound impact on economic reform in China,and its dissemination and visits to China of Western economists have enriched the understanding of market economy by Chinese scholars and played a role in guiding economic reform and development in China.
